How I Met Your Mother

I feel like this show has been on forever, but it still makes you laugh. If you haven't seen the show, every episode starts out, with older Ted telling a story to his two teenagers. The stories are always about Ted and his four friends and their lives at our time. The whole point is to tell Ted's childern about how he met their mother. There are always funny stories. The reruns make you laugh just as much too. So, if you need a good laugh tune in to How I Met Your Mother. You can find it on at many times and places.

Park and a Movie

Yesterday I went to Happy Hollow Park. I went up there with my friend and had a great time. It was a great day for a walk in the woods. That is what I love about that park, it has many nice trails. You can take a walk on a nice paved trail or a walk through the roads.
The other part of my blog is about the movie Red. It is a great movie starring Bruce Willis and Morgan Freeman. It is about an ex CIA agent, who has a hit out on him. Watch as he gets his other ex CIA friends take on the new CIA.

Smoking Ban

I am getting ready to give a speech in about 2 hours, and it is over smoking bans. I am for them as long as there are places such as bars where you can still smoke. I don't think that we need to have smoke everywhere, and where kids don't have a choice to be around it or not. That is why I don't mind it in a bar, I am 22 years old. If I don't like it, I can get up and go to one without smoking. I think that making it a state wide ban is a good idea. I think that it will be good for us all in the long run. What do you think about it?

Sister Wives

I have been watching this show for a while now. It is about a family out in Utah, that have a different kind of family life. They believe in polygamy. The husband had three wives at the start of the first season and was courting one more. By the end of that season he had married her and was up to four wives. The first season was about the other three wives dealing with all of there issues about adding another wife. The end of the season has them all getting along and accepting her. The start of the second season starts with them going public on the morning talk shows. So far, this one is them dealing with the aftermath of them going public, with the start of an investigation. I think this is a really fun show to watch so if you are interseted, tune in on Sundays on TLC.

My first travel piece was Milwaukee. It wasn't a bad drive, only about four hours. It was so nice to see my family and get to go try and see new things. I went to on a drive by the beach. It was really nice looking out at Lake Michigan. The day I went it was so nice and  clear outside. I also tried a sushi place called Izumi. It was some really good food. It was on the east side about a mile or so from the lake. On Sat. I went to Gurnee Mills. It is a big outlet mall. It was really nice and fun. There were lots of good deals there and many stores. I saw at of the city and it was nice. I hope to do more on my next trip there.

First Movie Pick

My first pick for a movie is Murder in the First. It stars Kevin Bacon and Christian Slater. Bacon plays Henri Young, a man being held at the prison of Alcatraz. He was sent there after stealing five dollars from a grocery store that doubled as a post office. After being at Alcatraz for some time, Henri tries to escape. The attempt failed, when one of the other guys involved reports it to the guards. After the failed escape he is sent to solitary confinement for three years. When he gets out he kills the man who told the guards about the escape plot. He is then given a court appointed lawyer (Slater), who defends him at the same time, brings the illegal practices at Alcatraz in the public eye.

Today is our first music Friday! My choice for this week is Ke$ha's new song Blow. This seems like it is a good dance song, something that you are going to hear in a club. It is very easy to move to and the song its self sounds great as well. I really liked the video. It has Ke$ha and James Van der Bleek in a gun fight at a dance. The gun shoots out rainbows across this the room. I thought that the dialogue between the two of them was funny. I think that this is a must see video. Tomorrow's topic is movies, so let me know if there are any must see movies. Email them to So what new or old songs are you guys listening to?

St. Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day! Hope you all wearing green. Today I am up in Milwaukee visiting my aunt. I had a nice drive up here yesterday. It took me about four hours. It was a very nice clear day, with light traffic. It is so nice getting to see my family. It has been a while since I have seen them. We have a lot of things planned. I am going shopping, see a movie, maybe out to the clubs, and to my little cousin's school tomorrow night. Sounds like it is going to be a very fun weekend and a good end to spring break. I think that I am going to start having everyday as a theme on here and tomorrow's is music. So if there is a song you think is good and everyone should know about. Send it to my email at

Spring Break

Since my spring break starts tonight after my class. I thought I would write about my plans. I am planning on going and visiting my aunt in Milwaukee. I went up there last year during the winter and it was nice. I am hoping that it will be much warmer so I will be able to see more. I met so many nice people up there and I hope to be seeing them again. I know this is the opposite way most college kids go during Spring Break, but I love going to see my family. I am not sure what all is up there, but I can't wait to find out. So I am wondering. Where are you going for Spring Break?

For Christmas this year I got a nook. Which I love by the way. It is nice being able to have all my books in one. Going through all the list on Barnes and Noble I have found some good books. I found a series on there about a girl that is a troll. The first book is called Switched. The next book I read after that book is I Hope The Serve Beer In Hell. It it a very good book. I have just bought the movie too. I can't wait to watch it, I'll let you guys know how it is. So, what books have you been reading?

I thought I would talk about my favorite show today. GLEE! It seems to be one of the shows where you either really like it or really dislike it. I don't know to many people in the middle. For those of you who do not know what it is about, it is based on a high-school glee club in Ohio. I like the fact that they take really popular songs and redo them. Most of them are really good and I have heard some the are better then the original. The story line is great too. Sometimes there is a little bit to much drama for me, but that doesn't last to long. So let me know what you think? Do you like it, dislike it? What song do you like or not like that they have done? Let me know.

Dieting and Workouts

The first thing I need to do is to stop drinking soda. I also need to start working out more. I am going to ride the bike we have at home. I am going to start out doing that for 30 mins a day. I need to learn to eat right as well. My big thing is to learn when I am full and not just eating to be eating. Does anyone know of any good workouts or workout music? Just let me know?
